So I've been kind of bored of the same ole food we always eat. Hence, another recipe. This one is far less healthy than the last. That's ok. This is where I found it on the world wide web.

If you like lemon this is the cake for you.
If you like cake this cake is for you.
If you like the spice girls this cake is probably not for you. Largely because I will shun you and not share my cake with you. But you never know. It's a pretty good cake. Word just might get around.
If you make it you might want to use finely ground cornmeal. I didn't and it was fine, but there is a little more grit to it. The recipe says you should let the cake rest for several hours. This is not necessary. That is to say, we were not patient. It is probably to let the glaze soak in longer. We'll see what it's like once it's rested longer. But eating it when it's still warm makes up for the fact that it isn't a well rested cake. In my humble opinion.

***Update***
Rested cake is delicious! It gets less gritty because the cornmeal soaks up some of the wetness from the glaze. Still a little grit. But not like cornbread.
(and yes, mom, that is my picture)

Another tasty delicacy!
I happen to have some corn meal on hand. I'll give it a try. Thanks, Katie!
I'm nuts for lemon desserts.
so is that your picture or did it come off of the site where you got the recipe.
Either way the picture makes me willing to abandon any possibility that I would ever like the Spice Girls, faint though it was.
