I made Martell a pouch for first aid supplies that he can throw in his pack for when he is doing field work (no pictures of the kit, although it is awesome. I didn't plan ahead) and this is scrap material (a.k.a. the mangy old hem of the jeans I made it out of) that Sally has taken to putting on her head. She walks around with it like a headband until it slips, then it becomes a necklace. Once it was actually a sash, but I think that was a fluke. She also likes to play with clothes, which is what she is holding. In case you were wondering, no we don't let her run around naked all the time, but it's been pretty toasty around here these days, and well, if I don't want to wear clothes, I'm not going to make her. At least not in the house. For now.
Surfs up.
Some bitty booties I made for baby boy coming in the cold season. I'm actually a lot more excited about dressing a little boy. Girl stuff is all pink and purple. This will be a fun change.
Cuteness. All around.
Cheesecake I made for National Cheesecake Day (July 30th) from this recipe Although, I didn't use their lemon curd recipe because I already had some lime curd on hand.
And just because this smile is irresistible. Here's another Sally picture.

Lucky for me I made a peach cheese cake on a fluke this past week, wouldnt want to miss the wonders of national cheesecake day! Little Sally is adorable and nakedness is bliss!
Horray for the new pictures and updates! Sally is already a creative little gal, but then she comes by it naturally considering who her parents are. Good use of the old levi's, Katie. And the cheesecake looks delish!
Dad and I unwittingly had our cheesecake a day early. He brought a couple of slices home after a church public relations event. Your cheesecake looked beautiful. Sally is adorable - as always- and something to manage those necessary first aid supplies is always good. All the more so because you used something that would have otherwise gone to waste. And may baby Strong have warm toes!
I see nothing wrong for a baby to run around the house in a diaper. Especially in the summer! Glad to hear you're doing all right. Those baby boots are cute!
I didn't know we even had a national cheesecake day, and now you've made me hungry for one. I don't have time to make one right now, but rest assured, as soon as I get some time, it's happening.
I also love the newest Sally pics. Aren't 1-year olds fun?
I see an appalling lack of a beard on Martell.
Sally's curls are the best!
I think the cheesecake should make an encore appearance in Elko...
