Because I can't get enough of my kid: Things Sally does that I think are adorable.
*She reads. To herself. Out loud. (in case you were wondering she only says a couple intelligible words and they don't get utilized when she is reading. This is why reading is cute)
*Currently we have her next "big girl" car seat sitting in our living room and she is rather attached to it. She often takes whatever toy, or book, or ukulele she is playing with to just sit with her in the chair for a minute.
*She nods. She is a yes-girl. For a long time we were trying to teach her to sign "please" and "thank you", so we would ask "can you say please?". She would nod her head. Yup, I can. She only recently actually signed please. It's still a little confusing for her I think.
*She loves straws. Just today I was drinking through a straw and she was overjoyed to be permitted to share my straw.
*She gives high fives. This is a brand new trick and she is so proud of herself. The day she learned it she ran back and forth between Martell and myself for probably 15 minutes or so giving fives. If our hand wasn't ready and waiting for her she would pull it out so she could give us five. Today in the car I'm pretty sure she was giving herself fives.
*She giggles. I cannot get enough of her laugh. She likes it when I shake my hair in her face and she laughs heartily if I spin her around and around. Mostly she laughs with Martell though. It is unbelievably cute to watch them playing.

give her a high five from grandma
Its moments like these that make it all worthwhile and get you through the harder days. Makes you love the moment and excited for what lies around the corner.
Just when you think she can't get any cuter, she does! So glad you are documenting Sally's new skills.
That's a fun age.
I love the list Katie! Sally is such a cute girl :)
K. T. :)
OK. My friend told me about an orchard in Yukon area between Rigby and I.F. It's $5 a bushel! Well- for some varieties. The honey crisp, last week, were at $15 which is great for this variety. A bushel is between 36-40 lbs. Erroring on the side of generosity, the guy gave us more since he doesn't always weigh bags or boxes.
sigh. I hear you. It's hard to make the time to do this, but it's all worth it in the end, right? ha. I'm teaching two friends in about 20 minutes. Can I just say I'm exhausted. I've been finishing up my apples all day.
